I began my career in the traditional art world over twenty years ago. Without a degree in my pocket, I decided to study graphic design at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh.With the skills of a traditional artist and the training of a Graphic Designer, I made myself the right fit for any kind of design work.
Just before graduation from AIP, Hampton Ridge Billiards in West Virginia hired me to be their Senior Designer. I developed everything from cue stick designs to illustrations for T-shirts. I got the chance to move back to my hometown of Binghamton, New York when the Press & Sun Bulletin, a daily newspaper in Binghamton, N.Y., gave me my dream job.
As the artist with the least seniority, my job was downsized during a work force reduction. A positive letter from my supervisor attests that I was in good standing and well regarded in my job. There just wasn’t space in the budget for me.
Motivated to keep up with the new era in design, I am currently teaching myself HTML, CSS, and PHP so I can stay competitive in all aspects of media. I feel that with my illustration background, my web site will be spectacular.
In my rare moments of free time, I enjoy relaxing by playing 18 holes of golf, going to the gym, and taking long walks with my camera to take some snapshots.
